The Occult

Growing up in isolation, Lenora had no inhibitions about embracing the supernatural.

Ouji Board

Some have speculated that the Ouji board had a special resonance for Lenora because she herself could not speak. Finding ways to allow people to have a voice would naturally be appealing to her.

Visit to Salem

Trips were rare for Lenora and her family, but they did make a special trip to Salem, Massachusetts because it was only an hour from home. Here Lenora learned about the recent past and how witches or supposed witches were treated.

Early Years

Before she was gifted her camera, Lenora had a fascination of the mysterious and unexplainable. Her bookshelves included both fictional and non-fictional accounts of the Pyramids of Giza, the Loch Ness Monster, and Stonehenge.

She read in depth about ancient pagan traditions as well as the history of witchcraft.

After a typical day studying academic research, Lenora seemed to find joy and relaxation in learning about and sketching symbols of the occult.
